You know, Barack is right!….
While you and the media are distracted by…..
We seem to have forgotten all about….
It goes on and on, folks!…While Mr. Obama and the Democrats jockey for whatever the position of the day is, they know the nation has an attention span of about 5 minutes. And that plays perfectly in their plans.
So the mess continues. Nothing actually improves while they tell you it is.
We have no one to blame but ourselves….
YOUR world…a.k.a. THE REAL WORLD!
I could go on…but, I think you get the point….
The federal government has a long tradition of ignoring the REAL problems Americans face in their day to day lives. And though I applaud yesterday’s Supreme Court decisions, they will have little, if any impact, on the lives of most. Gay or straight.
We have a nation struggling with debt, unemployment, rising costs in nearly every sector, along with countless other valid, significant problems. And as long as President Obama and the Democrats can distract you with gay marriage, immigration, women’s reproduction, etc., etc., etc….you name it…then these troubles can be ignored. But the time will come when all of this comes tumbling down and we will be left to pick up the pieces…if we can.
Think about it!…
Alabama’s Sen. Jeff Sessions (R) exposes the idiocy of the Senate immigration bill…
“From time to time my office distributes press releases and written statements on state and national issues, debate in the Senate, and legislation that I am working on. For your convenience, I post these documents on my site for your review.
Sessions Issues Statement On Tonight’s Procedural Vote To Advance 1,200-Page Substitute Immigration Bill
Monday, June 24, 2013
“The Gang of Eight and their allies revealed their true tactics tonight. They shut down debate and blocked amendments to a 1,200-page immigration bill that no one has read… This legislation is a crushing blow to the working people of this country, a surrender to illegality, and a capitulation to special interests over the interests of the citizens we pledged to represent.”
WASHINGTON—U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement after tonight’s vote:
“The sponsors of the Corker-Hoeven substitute fell short of the votes they expected tonight to advance what they had erroneously billed to other Senators as a strong border security amendment. Failure to capture the votes they anticipated for this motion demonstrates the building unease this 1,200-page legislative monstrosity has created. I expect that unease will increase as Senators learn more about what’s really inside this proposal.
The Gang of Eight and their allies revealed their true tactics tonight. They shut down debate and blocked amendments to a 1,200-page immigration bill that no one has read. It was anything but the open and fair process that they had promised.
What we know for absolute certain is that this bill guarantees three things: instantaneous amnesty, permanent lawlessness, and a massive expansion in legal immigration that will reduce wages for working Americans. This legislation is a crushing blow to the working people of this country, a surrender to illegality, and a capitulation to special interests over the interests of the citizens we pledged to represent.”
BACKGROUND ON CORKER-HOEVEN SUBSTITUTE AMNESTY-FIRST IMMIGRATION BILL:
· Immediate amnesty before enforcement
· Guts legal requirement for biometric exit-entry system
· Millions of green cards (permanent residency) before enforcement—debunking another false claim from sponsors
· No border surge. Agents aren’t required until 2021. It will never happen
· No fence requirement. DHS retains discretion in the bill that preempts the call for a fence in ten years. Litigation also provides an escape hatch to never build the fence. The fence won’t happen
· Legalization for gang members and convicted criminals
· Amnesty for future visa overstays (in other words, a prospective amnesty for future illegal immigrants)
· Guaranteed welfare access for illegal immigrants
· Undermines interior enforcement, prompting ICE officers to warn: “There is no doubt that, if passed, public safety will be endangered and massive amounts of future illegal immigration—especially visa overstays—is ensured.”
· Expands non-merit chain migration—less than 10 percent of future flow is merit-based
· Doubles the number of guest workers and triples the number of immigrants granted lawful permanent residency—reducing wages for U.S. workers and driving up unemployment..”
Yes, dear readers….It’s time, once again, for the latest in the continuing saga…WHAT THEY’RE REALLY THINKING!
Now, as you all know, most of those in political public life rarely, if ever have the guts to speak the truth or let their TRUE feelings on issues come to light. They dance around the topic, lending vague lip service to whatever it may be. While, all along, those of us who KNOW their true intentions have no problem deciphering who the deceivers and the liars are…
Now!…On with the show!….
This one is pretty self-explanatory…With the Benghazi hearings set to take place in Congress, we all KNOW the Obama administration f**ked up royally! It’s been noted that there are two..and ONLY two possible scenarios…the administration was either totally clueless and inept…or they refused to acknowledge the failure the seriousness of the situation, especially following the DEATH of a U.S. ambassador, because it was not politically expedient for the Obama re-election campaign at the time.. Correction on those choices: the third scenario was a BOTH of the above….
The ever imbecilic Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) continues her parade of stupidity in the House of Representatives…The latest: claiming a right to healthcare should be a constitutional right…..Man! You people in Texas: How do you put up with this garbage?
Limp di**ed Senate majority leader, Harry Reid (D-NV) resorts to referring to the Texas senator as a “schoolyard bully”…Yet another textbook example of the majority leader’s inability to win in the arena of ideas..it further reinforces his legacy as one of the biggest do-nothings in the Senate….
Now that commercials have begun on the radio promoting Sen. Schumer…er…I mean Sen. Rubio’s immigration plan, the senator from New York doesn’t appreciate the idea that some are beginning to question the wisdom in adding to the burden of the national entitlement programs with the addition of millions of new dependents…not to mention millions of new Democratic voters…
Comedy Central’s media jester, Stephen Colbert, likely thought his sister would coast to an easy victory in the South Carolina congressional race…Instead, the voters returned the one time embattled Republican governor, Mark Sanford, to public office…Of course, if he’d been a Democrat, the praise would have been heaped on him by the media from the start…
Probably one of the world’ most dangerous men, financier and political operative, George Soros, just enhanced his holdings with a $19 million profit betting on a Fed rate cut…
Finally…a continuing theme here…President Obama still manages to offer any concrete, REAL solutions to the nation’s ills while blaming those that do FOR the problem…No President has managed to convince so many while doing so little….
Just a few items today….some notable quotes and articles….I’m paying attention, so you don’t have to!
“The immigration proposal pending in Congress would transform the nation’s political landscape for a generation or more — pumping as many as 11 million new Hispanic voters into the electorate a decade from now in ways that, if current trends hold, would produce an electoral bonanza for Democrats and cripple Republican prospects in many states they now win easily.” – The Politico
New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo (D)
“The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and the Financial Services Roundtable said the measure could pave the way for financial transaction taxes on the state level, an idea that Wall Street and its supporters fiercely oppose.
“It’s important for Congress to explore all the possible outcomes and costs of the proposal, especially the impact on consumers,” Scott Talbott, the senior vice president of public policy for the Roundtable, said in a statement.” – The Hill

I just don’t get it…This brings me back to a running theme I have with many a post…Do Americans care about anything any longer?….The Presidential election is a little less than a month away. We have an Obama Administration in COMPLETE disarray. We have a DEAD United States ambassador, among others, and it’s revealed this week the White House essentially LIED about the whole fiasco! Rather than attempting to resolve an explosive situation, their incompetence inflicted more damage. Rather than explain that all of the facts surrounding the crisis in Libya were not known at the time, the directive was to blame some obscure video critical of Mohammed. Rather than give serious consideration to the urgency received from United States missions in the country, a deaf ear and a blind eye was the Administration’s response. The ENTIRE situation is the latest example in the utter lack of leadership and the blatant disregard for the security of our nation coming from Barack Obama. The man is callous, conniving, and an abject liar. Yet he maintains the support of Americans who have no concept of the imminent THREAT four more years of an Obama presidency poses for this country. I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND IT!
Barack Obama continues to lead the nation down the path of fiscal irresponsibility. Yet, no one cares. BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars spent in an effort to shore up an economy that is literally in tatters.
From The Economic Collapse:
“By the end of Barack Obama’s first term, the U.S. government will have accumulated more debt during those four years than it did from the time that George Washington took office to the time that George W. Bush took office! But most Americans seem fine with that!”
The insanity of all of this has reached proportions most of us cannot even begin to fathom. Yet…no one cares. And many will vote to have it continue on November 6. Unbelievable!
Instead of proposing real, sensible solutions to our fiscal problems, we get CRAP from blowhards like New York Senator Chuck Schumer….
“I don’t see how Sen. Chuck Schumer’s speech on tax reform yesterday helped anything — other than providing further clarity on how Democrats are going to try and deal with the exploding national debt: taxes, taxes, and more taxes.” – James Pethokoukis @ AEI
There’s no way I could let the gathering of idiots in Charlotte pass without covering what the REAL message is! Speaker after speaker has paraded before the cameras…but, you’re not getting the TRUTH about what they’re saying. Fortunately, for you, I’ve taken care of that!
Reaction from some prominent Democrats to Paul Ryan’s speech….they KNOW the fight is on and their political days could very well be numbered!
Sorry idiots!…Jig’s up!
HOT AIR NAILS SENATORS REID(D-NV) AND SCHUMER (D-NY) ON THEIR SO CALLED ‘BUDGET’!
It’s been more than 1,000 days since the Senate has passed a budget, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is unconcerned. In fact, he says he has no plans to bring a budget to the floor in 2012, either. He argues the 2012 budget is already done because last summer’s debt-ceiling deal included a few spending caps. Essentially, Reid wonders: Why do we need a long-term spending plan when we can stumble into some spending caps here and there? The Hill was first to this story:
“We do not need to bring a budget to the floor this year — it’s done, we don’t need to do it,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters on Friday, echoing previous statements from his office.
Reid and Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) argued that the debt-limit agreement in August directs spending for the next year and that Senate Appropriations Chairman Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii) has already asked the heads of the subcommittees to write their bills for fiscal 2013.
Senate Budget Chairman Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) has said he would probably mark up a budget resolution this year to appease ranking member Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), but Reid said he didn’t expect any floor action on any measure produced by the panel. …
Schumer said it is a “total falsity” for Republicans to say that Democrats haven’t passed the budget: “we passed it on Aug. 2.”
“They’re attacking us because they have nothing better to do,” Reid said. “They need something else to talk about.”
If what Reid and Schumer are arguing is that the Senate doesn’t need to pass a formal budget resolution to enable the government to spend taxpayer money irresponsibly, then they’re right. For the past couple years, while the Senate Budget Democrats have sat on their hands, failing to submit a budget resolution to the full Senate, the Senate Appropriations Committee has still authorized ungodly amounts of discretionary spending.
But if what Reid and Schumer are saying is that they’ve followed the law and submitted a budget resolution, then they’re flat-out wrong. The Congressional Budget Act requires the president to submit a budget to Congress by Feb. 1 every year. The Senate Budget Committee is to report a budget resolution to the full Senate by April 1. The House and Senate are to reach agreement on a concurrent budget resolution by April 15. Senate Budget Democrats haven’t submitted a budget since 2009.
Here’s why it matters: The Appropriations Committee determines levels of discretionary spending. Approps don’t touch mandatory spending. But mandatory spending constitutes about 60 percent of all federal spending — and mandatory programs like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security drive our deficits and debt. Without the imposition of budget discipline, these programs grow on autopilot.
By never submitting a budget, enacting a few discretionary spending caps as a part of the Budget Control Act (a.k.a. the debt ceiling deal) and punting to the Super Committee that also punted on entitlement reform, Democrats avoid any difficult discussion of how to ensure the solvency of our entitlement programs. With no plan of their own on the table, they’re free to shoot down anything Republicans propose.
It’s no secret why no one wants to touch entitlements — but it is still the shame of Washington that nobody will.
IN THE MEANTIME, WE SIT IDLY BY WHILE THESE WORTHLESS IDIOTS GET AWAY WITH FLUSHING OUR NATION DOWN THE TOILET!
