Nevertheless, it’s the joyful day when Uncle Sam…or his minions step up to take a sizable chunk of your earnings. Of course, our friendly media watchdogs are making sure to spin the narrative to make it sound like the rich pay absolutely nothing and the average American thinks his taxes are “fair”…and in some cases, he wouldn’t mind paying more. Needless to say, I don’t believe a word of that crap.
Let’s see where we are:
Yahoo News/AP reports:
Of course buried in the story is the point that 45% of U.S. households will pay NO federal income tax for 2010..this according to the Tax Policy Center.
Try to follow this logic:
“Eric Schoenberg says to sign him up for paying higher taxes. Schoenberg, who inherited money and has a healthy portfolio from his days as an investment banker, has joined a group of other wealthy Americans called United for a Fair Economy. Their goal: Raise taxes on rich people like themselves.”
You go right ahead Mr. Schoenberg. I’m sure the federal government, not exactly known for efficient spending, would be happy to take more of YOUR money ..and waste it. What a nincompoop!
Along with many others, Mr. Schoenberg fails to realize we have an entity in the government that takes from producers and justifies its existence by providing to those that DO NOT produce! Or some half baked program is created in order to give the government some apparatus for spending! It just makes no sense.
Now here’s this from “The Hill”
Well THAT’S good news! I mean, I guess it would be so insensitive to expect the government to reduce it’s spending. WHAT a foolish notion! Can’t imagine what I was thinking!
Followed by this:
They certainly need SOMETHING to remind them of the mess they’ve placed this country in! According to the article, the government is borrowing 40 cents for every dollar spent! Can you imagine running your personal finances that way?…
And on a high note…The UK Telegraph’s Nile Gardiner pontificates on a set of poll numbers for Mr. Obama…I’m happy to report, they ain’t looking good. Gee, I wonder why?….
