You knew it was just a matter of time!….Nothing like a major event such as the end of bin Laden to bring out the morons!
In light of today’s events, thought I’d begin an ongoing post highlighting more stupidity from inside the Beltway. Of course we have a Democrat leading the way!
“This is the ‘Mission Accomplished’ moment President Bush only fantasized about..” – Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY)
No surprise that some pompous Congressman decides to grab what attention he can by making some asinine remark about the former President.
“The war on terror is over” – Peter Beinart at the Daily Beast
Though you do make a point about the implications of our national debt, I wouldn’t go so far as to call the war over, Peter. Have you made sure radical Islamists have received that memo?
“…the string of statements from various leaders and candidates on the right who do not mention the president, much less congratulate him and his team, is sad but not unexpected, and certainly not in keeping with the unity stressed by the president in his remarks. But even these mean-spirited people cannot take away from the importance of this great day….” – Michael Yaki – member U. S. Commission on Civil Rights
Excuse me, Mr Yaki..I’m not sure who you’re referring to, but the vast majority of comments…right or left, in origin..have praised the President highly…..Of course, I’d expect nothing less from a former aide to Nancy Pelosi
“I would hate now to be a Republican candidate thinking of running” – Barbara Walters.. the usually level headed one from “The View” ..as she pontificates on the prospects of the opposition to Obama next year. Come on Barbara!…I thought you had more sense than to make a stupid remark like that!..Guess I was wrong!
“Let’s give discredit where it is due… For Eric Cantor to phrase it that way, to say he followed the vigilance of President Bush is a degree of key partisanship that exceeded what even I expected from Cantor. That’s just sad.”
– Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA)….one of Capitol hill’s biggest buffoons, reacting to remarks from House Majority leader Cantor in which he commended President Obama, including the current President’s “vigilance” in following that of his predecessor. I ask you, Barney, you slobbering idiot, what is untrue about the Majority Leader’s remarks?….also, we all know what a champion of bipartisanship YOU and your buddy, Rep. Ackerman are!
“To me, that didn’t make a lot of sense…” – Sen. Lindsey ‘Grahamnesty’ Graham (R-SC) about the disposing of bin Laden’s body at sea. I know, Senator! ..Maybe we should have erected a shrine to him!..You know, a site worthy of pilgrimages!..How ’bout that?!
“He may be dead, but, in a way, he won. We gave up our rights. We passed a Patriot Act. We spent trillions on needless wars. Fear now rules us.” – Jabba the Hut look alike, the perpetually unhappy Michael Moore by way of his website.
