WTF???…A jackpot….and YOUR weekend R and R!

Well, another Friday rolls around!…And, WTF doesn’t stand for ‘welcome to Friday’….

That was my reaction upon reading about Rep. Hank Johnson’s (D-GA) assertion the “fast and furious” fiasco was instigated by the NRA, the tea party, and the Senate. Yes, the Congressman from the metro Atlanta area, I’m ashamed to say, reaches another milestone in his illustrious career of public service. This from the man who thought too many military service personnel on Guam might, shall we say, destabilize the physical integrity of the island. What the hell are the people of DeKalb County thinking?????

"I am one of many Democrats who constantly prove themselves to be an embarrassment to their constituents."

I had a similar reaction upon seeing this at USA Today: STATES EXPAND LUCRATIVE PENSIONS TO MORE JOBS

Gee…I wonder where the money will come from for that?…..hmmm….OH YEAH!…YOU AND ME!…WE’RE THE SUCKERS THAT WILL BE PAYING FOR IT!!!!!!!

The National Review Online has 3…count ’em!…3 EXCELLENT pieces today on the fortunes of Barack Obama. Well worth your time checking these out!

WEEKEND CRITIC’S CORNER – Robert Bianco @ USA Today

‘YES, VIRGINIA’, ‘RUDOLPH’, ‘LUCK’

* Here’s a pleasant surprise: a lovely Christmas special built around, of all things, an editorial response to a child’s letter.

Set in the 1890s and featuring fine vocal performances from Beatrice Miller, Alfred Molina, Michael Buscemi,Jennifer Love Hewitt and Neil Patrick HarrisYes, Virginia (CBS, 9 ET/PT) is a gentle charmer that eschews the noisy comedy of most modern cartoons for a sweet, simple message about faith and kindness.

Let’s hope CBS keeps it in annual rotation — as it does with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Saturday, 8 ET/PT).

* Too much holiday cheer for you? Syfy complies withSnowmageddon (Saturday, 9 ET/PT), which attributes our recent run of freak storms to a cursed snow globe.

Take that, global-warming theorists.

'Empire's' Michael Pitt & Steve Buscemi

'Luck's' Dustin Hoffman

HBO follows the season finale of Boardwalk Empire(Sunday, 9 ET/PT) with an unpreviewed sneak peek at its latest series, Luck (10 ET/PT).

Dustin Hoffman stars in this horse-racing drama, due next month from one of TV’s greatest writers, Deadwoodand NYPD Blue‘s David Milch.
