Give ’em hell, Newt!…..and weekend TV!

"You media assholes are full of s**t...and you know it!"

I love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!!

Love him or hate him, you gotta admit Newt Gingrich has got the GUTS to tell it like it is!….And then some!…

His salvo against CNN’s Jon King and the rest of the lame stream media was SOOOO on target in last night’s debate! It may be only the win of a battle with the media, but I’ll take it!……

“I am appalled that you would begin a presidential debate on a topic like that.”… “To take an ex-wife and make it, two days before the primary, a significant question in a presidential campaign, is as close to despicable as anything I can imagine.”  – Gingrich to King’s opening question…

He went on to call the line of questioning trash and nothing more than a front for Barack Obama. So true!

Are you really going to base your concerns about something that happened 20 years ago as your view of Gingrich?….The Iranians have a nuclear weapon…the Chinese will no longer buy U. S. debt…you name it…and you think to yourself, “gee…I don’t know if he can handle it…you know, word was he asked his wife for an open marriage several years ago….” I mean, get friggin’ real!…..

The media has an agenda. And the paramount matter to them is the re-election of Barack Obama. Never, ever forget that! Gingrich actually has the balls to call them on it and they don’t like it one bit! The candidate that will take them on has my vote!

•Need more proof that PBS provides a service no ad-supported network will supplant? Try Great Performances at the Met Friday (9 ET/PT, times may vary) for its production of Donizetti’s opera Anna Bolena.

Maybe you don’t want to watch opera — but is it really so hard to see the value in having one, small spot on TV where people can?

•The minute you read about the Drew Peterson case, you knew it would end up on TV, most likely on Lifetime. As it has, in Drew Peterson: Untouchable (Saturday, 8 ET/PT). Now just imagine the sequel someone can make should Peterson ever actually be convicted of something — which he hasn’t been.

Football is the big news Sunday, as the AFC (CBS, 3 ET/noon PT) and NFC (Fox, 6 ET/3 PT) pick their Super Bowl contenders.

My team is out, but here’s hoping your team makes it in.

•If you haven’t been watching Desperate Housewives(ABC, 9 ET/PT) in its final season, here’s where things stand: Bree is back on the booze, and Lynette is separated and dating.

Which means if the writers want the series to have a happy ending, they’d better get a move on.
