The Latest Take…

Yesterday’s post featured the latest scheme devised by the Administration to garner votes for 2012. Today, being Sunday, is a good day for checking out what’s being said in the media about this so called “visionary” we were duped into electing nearly 4 years ago…

“The U.S. has never before had a President who thinks so little of the American people that he imagines he can win re-election running on the opposite of reality. But that is the reality of President Obama today.” – Peter Ferrara @ Forbes.com

“We don’t need attempts at soaring rhetoric in a time of earthbound problems.” – Mark Steyn @ National Review Online

“Today’s announcement will be welcome news for many of these kids desperate for an answer, but it is a short term answer to a long term problem…. And by once again ignoring the Constitution and going around Congress, this short term policy will make it harder to find a balanced and responsible long term one.” – Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) as reported in the Washington Free Beacon

“Why not discuss it in Congress and build a consensus for change? Why encourage others to break the law in the hope that somewhere down the line they’ll get amnesty? Why do this now … six months before an election?” – Tim Stanley @ The U.K. Telegraph

“Rather than pushing new laws through a divided Congress to enact his agenda, Obama is relying on federal agencies to ignore, or at least not defend, laws that some of his important supporters — like Hispanic voters and the gay community — don’t like.” – The Politco

“Beyond the pandering, beyond the politics, beyond the process — is simple constitutional decency,” ……“This is out-and-out lawlessness. You had a clip of the president himself say months ago ‘I cannot do this on my own because there are laws on the books.’ Well, I have news for president — the laws remain on the books. They haven’t changed.”  – Charles Krauthammer as reported by the Daily Caller

“… by selectively failing to enforce the law faithfully he’s not doing his job making sure all laws are faithfully executed…” – Former Attorney General and immigration reform advocate, Alberto Gonzales @ Fox News

“Election Day is still months away. The race will undoubtedly have a lot of peaks and valleys for each candidate between now and then. But it is increasingly probable that if this election is a referendum on the economy and President Obama’s handling of it, he will lose, notwithstanding the lousy shape it was in when he took office. Because the president doesn’t want the election to be a referendum on the economy, his campaign will try to discredit Romney as an alternative.” – Charlie Cook at The National Journal

“So President Obama decides to go bold on more low-skill immigration. Politics over policy.  I guess this is what happens when the POTUS decides to take the rest of the year and campaign full time …”  – James Pethokoukis @ The Enterprise Blog

And the list could go on and on and on….

It should be obvious to EVERY single American voter that Barack Obama is running for a second term for Barack Obama…NOT for the United States of America. In his 3+ years in office, he has elevated action based on political expediency…and at the expense of the country…to an art form. His demeaning, egotistical approach to nearly every aspect of governance has fostered an atmosphere of distrust and division in this country. Yet he aspires to four more years..”to complete the job”…Sadly, a second term would almost surely yield nothing but more debt, more frustration, more derision, and more damage…Hopefully, Americans will question this man’s motives and his core philosophy when they go to the polls this November.
