Do You Ever Ask Yourself ‘WTF?’…..

Today’s entry is short, sweet, and to the point.

I find myself asking the title question every day! I find it beyond simple comprehension how ANY clear thinking, sensible person could listen, let alone WATCH, the senseless, moronic musings of the talking heads of “progressive” media. I find their mindless, detached sensationalism to be just that..sensational! And not in a productive manner. So, the next time you wonder how and why things are the way they are under the Obama administration, you can thank these individuals, among many others. Their combined efforts, along with a clueless, hapless president, have created the crumbling, weary, dysfunctional society you see around you. Will it ever end? Possibly. Likely? Not any time soon….

clueless, hapless, and hopeless...

clueless, hapless, and hopeless…

What a web we weave….

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas that for far too long have strangled our politics. The state of our economy calls for action: bold and swift. And we will act not only to create new jobs but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together..And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government....

Though highlighted yesterday, December 3, this piece from Investors Business Daily is definitely worth your read! It makes the solid case for how out of step today’s Democrats and President Obama are with the reality that Americans face EVERY DAY in their lives!

DEMS ARE THE OUT OF TOUCH EXTREMISTS!

“We keep hearing about how the Republican Party is full of radical Tea Party crazies. But our latest IBD/TIPP Poll shows that it’s Democrats who are out of touch with reality and well outside the mainstream.

The public overwhelmingly believes the country is headed in the wrong direction, that current economic policies aren’t working, that President Obama is doing a bad job, that government should be smaller and that ObamaCare should be repealed. But not Democrats.

On issue after issue, in fact, Democrats are the outliers by wide margins, according to an analysis of the December IBD/TIPP survey.

They are, by and large, Pollyanna-ish about the economy, they can see no evil when it comes to Obama or ObamaCare, and they are extremists when it comes to the size and role of the federal government.

To get a sense of just how out to lunch Democrats are these days, consider:

The economy is barely moving after four years of Obama’s “recovery,” there are millions who’ve given up looking for work, household incomes are down and poverty is up.

Not surprisingly, 64% of the public says the country is headed in the wrong direction — 71% of independents say this. But those who identify themselves as Democrats are positively upbeat. Two-thirds, in fact, are perfectly satisfied with the country’s direction.

Nor are Democrats willing to entertain any doubts about Obama. Overall, his approval rating is just 40% — just 31% of independents give him a thumbs-up. But a ridiculously high 80% of Democrats like the job Obama’s doing.

And while only 42% of independents, and just 15% of Republicans, think Obama is honest and trustworthy — a perfectly reasonable result given his blatant lies about ObamaCare — 93% of Democrats still believe in him.

Even on the obviously botched ObamaCare launch, just 27% of Democrats are willing to say he bungled it, in contrast with 97% of Republicans and 70% of independents.

ISSpoll120413.gif.cms

It’s worth noting, too, that on question after question, Republicans and independents are more closely aligned than independents and Democrats. You can see that clearly in the charts above.

It’s true that some of these responses simply show Democrats rallying around their guy in the White House. But the fact is that Republicans were more willing to admit to George W. Bush’s faults as a leader when they emerged, and own up to a bad economy during his tenure.

On specific issues, meanwhile, it’s Democrats who are out of the mainstream these days. For example, 61% of the public wants a smaller government with fewer services — among independents, 68% want this — but 59% of Democrats want a bigger government and more services.

And while 57% of independents and 88% of Republicans want to repeal ObamaCare, only 13% of Democrats want it killed.

Outside the Democratic Party, in fact, there’s almost no support for a government takeover of the health care system.

Only 28% of independents and 8% of Republicans say the government can be trusted to run the health care system successfully. Nearly two-thirds of Democrats (64%) put their trust in the government.

The only reason Obama and his fellow Democrats aren’t constantly tagged as extreme is because the press is so far left that it treats them as reasonable centrists. Meanwhile, by skewing the polls, the increasingly radicalized Democratic Party manages to make the country appear more liberal than it really is.”

Your Daily Disaster!

obama-smug

The premise of the disaster movie ‘2012’ was the end of the world as we know it around the winter solstice of that year. Little did we know (well, not really..MOST of us knew!) the REAL disaster would arrive a little more than a month earlier. On election day, 2012. With Barack Obama winning a second term, “our world” has been dealing with..and will continue to do so…the havoc this ineffective, arrogant president fosters. His petulant, condescending attitude are a hallmark of his administration. Rather than meeting problems head on, whether it’s our economy our our international relations, President Obama continually seeks to position himself to avoid any responsibility while assigning blame to whatever party can provide him with the most political capital in the eyes of the ignorant electorate of the United States.

Let’s take a look around today, shall we?….

OBAMA IS OBSESSED WITH THE WRONG 1 PERCENT! – James Pethokoukis @ National Review

This is just a micro speck of what’s out there. With the national mood continuing to flounder and falter, President Obama and the Democrats continue in their efforts to take more and destroy more. In the end there will be nothing left to save and no one to turn to. Not even yourself. Of course, that’s all part of the grand design. Don’t doubt that for minute. Gay marriage, immigration reform, obamacare, and more won’t matter in the slightest with a dead economy. A scenario near and dear to the Democrats. It’s not inconceivable. Just take a look around and you can find evidence of it day after day. A dream for them, a nightmare for us…

‘Logical’ conclusions….

As I typically do nearly every day, I enjoy perusing the thoughts and opinions from various sources. Recently, I’ve again noticed (as it’s really nothing new, mind you) how the media structures “news” to fit “the agenda”…the template. The theme du jour seems to be excusing the situation or the facts…promoting the idea that we need to “re-examine” the way we view matters, etc., etc., etc. It doesn’t matter if the facts are the facts, there HAS to be some other culprit…some other reason why they are what they are…

Rush Limbaugh hit the nail on the head when he pointed this out on his program yesterday. The economy CONTRACTS and the media and the Democrats try to structure a distressing situation to their liking:

“President Barack Obama will let his jobs council expire this week without renewing its charter, winding down one source of input from the business community even as unemployment remains stubbornly high.”  The GDP contracted, unemployment compensation requests for unemployment checks increased.  I have another AP story today — they’re calling the contraction — I kid you not here — they’re calling the contraction in gross domestic product “growth.”  They are describing economic growth in terms of the contraction.”

“When Obama in January 2011 formed his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, unemployment was hovering above 9 percent. Two years later, more than 12 million people in the U.S. are out of work. The unemployment rate has fallen to 7.8 percent, but both parties agree that’s still too high.”  But it’s good enough.  So we could close down the jobs council… (laughing) The reason I laugh — I know you know why — the jobs council, I’ll guarantee you, when they met, what kind of input would they give?  It’s silly.  We all know how to create jobs.  Do the exact opposite of what Obama does.  There isn’t any pro-growth policy taking place.  I sound like a broken record.  I think it’s hilarious the jobs council shut down, ’cause we’re now supposed to accept, okay, well, this is the new norm. Mission accomplished.”

obama_nojobs_large-1

“Bloomberg News.  Now that the gross domestic product is contracting, i.e., the economy’s shrinking, Bloomberg’s editors have decided that GDP is an imperfect measure of progress.  Just ten hours after a government report showed that the economy went into contraction for the first time in three years during the fourth quarter last year, an item written by the editors at Bloomberg News appeared last night which basically said, you know, you people that focus on GDP are making a mistake.  That’s an imperfect measure of economic activity and progress. We need to be looking at indicators — I kid you not — of social progress or human happiness.  So in measuring economic output, in measuring economic activity, the GDP, ah, it’s old-fashioned, doesn’t work, never was all that accurate.  You shouldn’t rely on that.  Don’t pay any attention.  It’s an imperfect measure of progress.

Instead, we should refocus and look at the indicators of social progress or human happiness. So it’s the usual case: When things go south, the problem is the way we measure it. When the news is bad, the problem is how the news is determined (laughing), not the actual news. So we’re gonna have to change the mechanism by which we measure the economy because it’s not showing the economy in a good enough light to reflect the magnificence of our esteemed leader, “Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm! Mmm! Mmm!”

“Now, two stories on the unemployment front. It is Thursday, and that’s why we have unemployment news. First off, our old buddy Christopher Rugaber at the AP. Headline: “Weekly US Jobless Aid Applications Rise to 368,000 — The number of Americans seeking unemployment aid rose sharply last week but remained at a level consistent with moderate hiring.” See? We gotta change the way we measure this.”

The number of Americans out of work and filing for unemployment benefits went up big time, but that still indicates that there’s “moderate hiring” taking place. (interruption) Poor Rachel. She’s in for Dawn today. Rachel’s in there and she’s kind of shaking her head like your dog looks at you, kind of curious, not sure what you’re saying but is excited to try and understand. No, it’s tough. The number of people out of work — the number of people asking for welfare benefits, unemployment compensation checks — skyrocketed.

The AP says: Hey, that’s well within our range here that shows there’s moderate hiring taking place!

It’s the Twilight Zone.

It’s surreal.”

Idiocy on Parade: Best of 2012!!!

Good riddance, 2012!!….

I’m sure there are many that share that sentiment!

I happened across this piece at Media Research Center. It’s their special year end awards for some of the most moronic, idiotic, and just plain STUPID quotes from those in media and the like. Remember…THESE are those that set themselves ABOVE everyone else! They know MUCH more about how this country should function than you or I do! THESE are the experts! The media elite!…

You should discern that they’re nothing more than self congratulating blow hards full of sh*t!..to put it mildly!…Enjoy!

“If his [the House GOP] budget were ever come to pass, then Meals on Wheels would be killed, transportation services to the disabled would be destroyed, food stamps would be eviscerated. I think many Americans would end up in soup kitchens like that. So I don’t think we should be critical. I think we should be grateful that what Mr. Ryan has shown us is exactly what will happen to people if the kind of vicious and callous budget that he would wish to impose on American people ends up coming to pass.”— MSNBC’s Martin Bashir on NewsNation, October 16.
