The Disgust

It recently occurred to me how disgusted and disapproving Barack Obama seems to be with the nation as a whole…constantly.

I liken him to Gladys Cooper’s character as Bette Davis’s indignant and rigid mother in the 1942 classic, “Now, Voyager”. He is always at odds with what’s best for the country. In the film, “Charlotte” (Davis) realizes she will never earn the respect of her distant, detached mother. Only when she breaks free of her mother’s controlling grip, does she come into her own.

The United States has languished under Mr. Obama and his incessant and unfounded criticism. Our only hope is a new direction in 2016 as we will hopefully return to what makes this nation work. And trading Barack Obama for Hillary Clinton is most DEFINITELY NOT the answer!

“Trumping” the Election!

Needless to say, I’ve made up MY mind about who to support in 2016. Provided he’s still a candidate. I’m really hoping the latter comes true.

Donald Trump has scored big with millions of Americans who have been looking for someone to give voice to their frustrations over the last decade. Imagine that! A candidate who tells it like it is and says what needs to be said! What a novel idea!

After major Republicans flubs in 2008 and 2012, why shouldn’t they?… How a candidate could lose to the absolute worst president in the history of the United States is beyond me! But, Mitt Romney managed to do so!

Along comes Donald Trump in 2015, seizing upon what he KNOWS Americans feel! No other politician would have the gall to take advantage of that! Of course, Trump isn’t a politician. Considering how BAD this country’s national disgust is with those that have been in charge for far too long, he is the right man at the right time.

As expected, the political class, pundits, and prognosticators are up in arms! There’s no way they’re going to stand by and allow someone who actually LISTENS to the people find his way to the White House. Their frustration lies in the fact that they just can’t seem to grasp the situation. Which is something anyone with common sense can figure out!

I’d like to defer to Rush Limbaugh’s analysis of the Trump saga as it continues to play out since the first Republican debate.. As usual, ‘the godfather’ lays it out in laymen’s terms and makes it crystal clear!….

“There’s a percentage of the population that is totally fed up with the political class, including the media. And they have wanted things said to people and about people for the people they’ve been voting for for years and they haven’t heard it. I mean, the media is not loved. The media in some cases is despised, and Trump is giving it right back to ’em in ways that many people in this country have dreamed of happening. And, as such, he comes off as refreshing….

There is real visceral anger over this amnesty BS. There is real visceral anger over what’s been done for the economy. There is real visceral anger over what is being done to the health care system via Obamacare. The reason they don’t know it is because they do not care to talk to the people who feel that way, so they never do features on them. They never go out and do man-on-the-street interviews with people like that.

Because they are interested in furthering the agenda that has made all of this happen. Now, they know there are gonna be some people that disagree with it, but they immediately relegate them to insignificant status. They’re either bitter clingers or they’re lunkheads or they’re small in number or they’re just old-fashioned ditties that don’t deal well with change or what have you. But they’re missing the real anger, and it’s been building.

The anger, you can see it in the midterm 2010, 2014 elections. There have been people have shown up in droves. The Democrats have lost over a thousand seats in those midterm elections, and part of those elections were Republicans being elected because the people voting for them wanted them to stop all of this, or at least try. And they don’t see any trying to stop it. They don’t see any effort being made, any serious effort to defund Planned Parenthood.

I think there’s some real outrage in this country over what has been learned, was always suspected but now what has been confirmed was going on in those abortion clinics. There’s real anger out there. And the one person that’s come along that’s tapped into it and that gives everybody the impression that he’s fully aware of it and agrees with them is Donald Trump. As such, he’s got a pretty wide berth here. He’s got a pretty big margin of error…”

“Visceral anger!”..That sums it up perfectly! Millions of Americans are simply fed up! And they have been waiting for YEARS to have a candidate that speaks to that! Say what you will about him..hate him… He knows what he’s doing and offers the best chance to turn around the disastrous direction in which we’re currently headed. Sadly, most other  GOP options can’t come near dynamic enthusiasm Trump projects. And the strongest attraction?..He doesn’t give a DAMN about the media and political elites. And that frightens them! For me, that is a MAJOR advancement in taking control of a nation that seems to be SPIRALING out of control!

Here We Go Again!

As I return to publishing observations here, the nation sees itself on the brink of yet another presidential campaign. November 2016 will be here before you know it!…

We have 3 Republicans, Sen. Rand Paul (KY), Sen. Marco Rubio (FL), and Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) up against former Secretary of State and Democrat New York senator, Hillary Clinton.

The themes and memes are already underway in attempts to set the narrative. True to form, the Democrats have trotted out some of their worthless, tasteless voices to express insipid opinions on the Republican field. These quotes are definitely worth retaining as the campaigns move forward…

“Like most other major Republicans his (Rand Paul) views are outdated and way outside the mainstream.."

The walking cadaver and former Senator majority leader from Nevada uttered that description as he recovers from what he expects everyone to believe was an injury from an exercise machine…Right..Harry….right….

“His policy on Cuba is very much in the past. … [He’s] yesterday when it comes to Cuba and international relations.”

“His policy on Cuba is very much in the past. … [He’s] yesterday when it comes to Cuba and international relations.”

The former House majority leader, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) comments to Katie Couric on the candidacy of Marco Rubio… As you might recall, Pelosi proudly proclaimed Obamacare had to be passed into law before we could find out what was in it! To this day, she retains the crown as the most lame brain woman in Congress!

Things are just getting underway. That being said, I detect a hint of concern on the part of the Democrats. They’re realizing the lies they’ve told for decades are losing their political!

Absolutely LOVED this reader’s response to a WSJ piece about our IDIOTIC vice president and his recent trip to Iowa! She sums up the frustrations of millions of Americans in a few sentences…

“Vice President Joe Biden visited Iowa with a message about the administration’s “laser focus” on the middle class (“Biden Draws the Spotlight in Iowa,” U.S. News, Sept. 16). That explains a lot.

The job market is dismal in historic terms. ObamaCare is restricting employee hours and the wages that go with them. The administration’s regulatory environment can be described as seek and destroy, so start a business at your own risk.

We in the middle class are pretty well toasted, Mr. Biden. Perhaps you could “laser focus” on someone else for a while.

Your Daily Disaster!

The premise of the disaster movie ‘2012’ was the end of the world as we know it around the winter solstice of that year. Little did we know (well, not really..MOST of us knew!) the REAL disaster would arrive a little more than a month earlier. On election day, 2012. With Barack Obama winning a second term, “our world” has been dealing with..and will continue to do so…the havoc this ineffective, arrogant president fosters. His petulant, condescending attitude are a hallmark of his administration. Rather than meeting problems head on, whether it’s our economy our our international relations, President Obama continually seeks to position himself to avoid any responsibility while assigning blame to whatever party can provide him with the most political capital in the eyes of the ignorant electorate of the United States.

Let’s take a look around today, shall we?….

OBAMA IS OBSESSED WITH THE WRONG 1 PERCENT! – James Pethokoukis @ National Review

This is just a micro speck of what’s out there. With the national mood continuing to flounder and falter, President Obama and the Democrats continue in their efforts to take more and destroy more. In the end there will be nothing left to save and no one to turn to. Not even yourself. Of course, that’s all part of the grand design. Don’t doubt that for minute. Gay marriage, immigration reform, obamacare, and more won’t matter in the slightest with a dead economy. A scenario near and dear to the Democrats. It’s not inconceivable. Just take a look around and you can find evidence of it day after day. A dream for them, a nightmare for us…

Is THIS the face of your next President?!

THAT’S the big question in political circles of late… I can recall telling friends during the 2008 campaign that I didn’t trust Hillary Clinton. There was just something…sinister…about her. I still don’t..and there probably still is. Witness the Benghazi fiasco, where she simply walked away. Because, as you know, “what difference does it make?” I’m wondering how things may have proceeded with her winning the nomination and the election that year. Despite what I feel are significant shortcomings, I suspect the past 5 plus years would have proceeded in a more productive fashion, as opposed to the disastrous, disaffected Barack Obama.

As for 2016, there doesn’t seem to be a viable Republican challenger on the horizon. Especially with Chris Christie and Marco Rubio seemingly bending over backwards to slight conservative supporters anywhere they can. They may as well just apply the (D) designation after their names. Especially the combative New Jersey governor.

Back to my original point, I found Charles Hurt’s piece in The Washington Times right on target. He takes a look at what may lie ahead for Mrs. Clinton. That, and the difference it will DEFINITELY make for YOU!

“The Clintons are getting the old band back together again for one last geriatric tour.

Hillary 2016. Because 22 years of Clintons dominating the Beltway isn’t enough.

Her campaign slogan: “Vote for me. I am a woman. What difference does it make?”

The Draft Hillary movement is really taking off. There hasn’t been this much excitement behind a Draft Hillary movement since, well, the last there was aDraft Hillary movement.

Remember that? Back in 2008? When she was the “inevitable nominee”? She was the “most electable” Democrat running? She was the only one who could beat the Republicans?

Didn’t exactly out as advertised. But this being the Clintons, there is no more shame in that than there is in the incident with the intern, sketchy stories about cattle futures or missing law firm records magically reappearing.

They’re not even changing the talking points. Once again, the nomination is hers for the asking. She is inevitable — again. It is time for a woman in theWhite House — again. She is the only electable Democrat in the mix — again.

She’s even picked up a Twitter handle and describes herself as a “glass ceiling cracker.” You go, girl!

Deep down, she’s got to be having flashbacks and night sweats thinking to herself: “I have seen this movie before and I really didn’t like how it ended.”

But what difference does it make? She’s Hillary Rodham Clinton .

The last time, her exhausting quest ended with her defeated and broke. Then she had to muster up the energy to dine on some seriously rancid crow and become the single most visible employee of the man who had beaten her.

He beat her because she had a history and he did not. He beat her because she had made very public decisions that he had not faced. He beat her because she supported a military action overseas that he was able to blithely campaign against. In the end, he beat her because people wanted something . They wanted change.

What difference does it make? In that , it was the difference between winning and losing.

So, what will have happened in eight years to make her not less, but more, appealing to voters? Absolutely nothing.

It is just eight years more of fraught Clinton history. Eight more years of public decisions that will be mercilessly picked apart. Eight more years further and further away from being something new. She will be a calcified statue representing the very opposite of change.

She will be forced to answer endless questions about the deadly terrorist attack in Benghazi. We will see the endless loop of her baring her teeth during a congressional hearing and angrily shouting: “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

Cruelest of all: She will be blamed and pay the political price for every single unpopular foreign military action the current president has launched during his tenure. She got beaten last time for being a war hawk. She’ll get beaten this time because President Obama became the drone-loving war hawk he had campaigned against.

In 2008, Mrs. Clinton cut an ad showing children asleep. The phone at the White House rings at 3 a.m. announcing some serious national security threat. The narrator intoned: “Who do you want answering the phone?”

Without mentioning Mr. Obama’s name, it was a bid to paint his lack of world experience as a frightening liability.

Well, Mrs. Clinton certainly does not share any such liability. But eight years on, we now know exactly what she will say if she ever does have to answer that phone at 3 a.m. in the White House .

What difference does it make.”
