“Trumping” the Election!

Needless to say, I’ve made up MY mind about who to support in 2016. Provided he’s still a candidate. I’m really hoping the latter comes true.

Donald Trump has scored big with millions of Americans who have been looking for someone to give voice to their frustrations over the last decade. Imagine that! A candidate who tells it like it is and says what needs to be said! What a novel idea!

After major Republicans flubs in 2008 and 2012, why shouldn’t they?… How a candidate could lose to the absolute worst president in the history of the United States is beyond me! But, Mitt Romney managed to do so!

Along comes Donald Trump in 2015, seizing upon what he KNOWS Americans feel! No other politician would have the gall to take advantage of that! Of course, Trump isn’t a politician. Considering how BAD this country’s national disgust is with those that have been in charge for far too long, he is the right man at the right time.

As expected, the political class, pundits, and prognosticators are up in arms! There’s no way they’re going to stand by and allow someone who actually LISTENS to the people find his way to the White House. Their frustration lies in the fact that they just can’t seem to grasp the situation. Which is something anyone with common sense can figure out!

I’d like to defer to Rush Limbaugh’s analysis of the Trump saga as it continues to play out since the first Republican debate.. As usual, ‘the godfather’ lays it out in laymen’s terms and makes it crystal clear!….

“There’s a percentage of the population that is totally fed up with the political class, including the media. And they have wanted things said to people and about people for the people they’ve been voting for for years and they haven’t heard it. I mean, the media is not loved. The media in some cases is despised, and Trump is giving it right back to ’em in ways that many people in this country have dreamed of happening. And, as such, he comes off as refreshing….

There is real visceral anger over this amnesty BS. There is real visceral anger over what’s been done for the economy. There is real visceral anger over what is being done to the health care system via Obamacare. The reason they don’t know it is because they do not care to talk to the people who feel that way, so they never do features on them. They never go out and do man-on-the-street interviews with people like that.

Because they are interested in furthering the agenda that has made all of this happen. Now, they know there are gonna be some people that disagree with it, but they immediately relegate them to insignificant status. They’re either bitter clingers or they’re lunkheads or they’re small in number or they’re just old-fashioned ditties that don’t deal well with change or what have you. But they’re missing the real anger, and it’s been building.

The anger, you can see it in the midterm 2010, 2014 elections. There have been people have shown up in droves. The Democrats have lost over a thousand seats in those midterm elections, and part of those elections were Republicans being elected because the people voting for them wanted them to stop all of this, or at least try. And they don’t see any trying to stop it. They don’t see any effort being made, any serious effort to defund Planned Parenthood.

I think there’s some real outrage in this country over what has been learned, was always suspected but now what has been confirmed was going on in those abortion clinics. There’s real anger out there. And the one person that’s come along that’s tapped into it and that gives everybody the impression that he’s fully aware of it and agrees with them is Donald Trump. As such, he’s got a pretty wide berth here. He’s got a pretty big margin of error…”

“Visceral anger!”..That sums it up perfectly! Millions of Americans are simply fed up! And they have been waiting for YEARS to have a candidate that speaks to that! Say what you will about Trump..love him..hate him… He knows what he’s doing and offers the best chance to turn around the disastrous direction in which we’re currently headed. Sadly, most other  GOP options can’t come near dynamic enthusiasm Trump projects. And the strongest attraction?..He doesn’t give a DAMN about the media and political elites. And that frightens them! For me, that is a MAJOR advancement in taking control of a nation that seems to be SPIRALING out of control!

The LONG and Winding Road…

As the world finds itself on edge once again with the explosive situation between Russia and the Ukraine, the United States is an uncomfortable position resulting from a weak, directionless foreign policy. That seems to be the consensus…even among those who have championed the leadership lacking Obama administration over the years.

I found myself frustratingly adding this latest fiasco to the laundry list of failures and pointlessness of the Obama White House. Once again, our nation edges closer to embarrassment with the foolhardy assessments of a man who governs..and I use that term loosely…the way he THINKS the world should be, as opposed to the reality which clear thinking individuals acknowledge.

Barack Obama seems to have championed failure and incompetence throughout his first term and that mindset continues into the second. At home and abroad, we’ve seen a naive approach and response to our national problems at home and our international interests abroad…

Let’s take a look..in the case you’ve forgotten…shall we?…

The Obama administration has been completely and utterly ineffective in advancing an agenda which promotes economic growth. And manipulating job numbers is NOT the answer….

Any effort at “stimulating” the economy has failed miserably..not to mention the fact a waste of money..literally…

I think this one is pretty much self explanatory….

President Obama Speaks On The Death Of US Ambassador In Libya Christopher Stevens

Despite feigning ignorance, incompetence ruled the day under in the Department of State under Hillary Clinton. Benghazi is, and will remain, a perfect example of that. Mrs. Clinton’s famous “what difference does it make..?” response to those questioning the administration’s preparedness and its ability to protect our interests is classic when it comes to demonstrating how truly cavalier and condescending their attitude was…..and continues to be!

President Obama successfully demonized the Republican opposition in the sequester fiasco, despite the situation escalating due to HIS administration’s efforts…it was nothing more than an attempt at political capital…

The administration continued the tactic of simply pretending to be unaware of what was happening in its ranks throughout the NSA and IRS selective targeting scandals…

This spotlight photo of shameless Attorney General Eric Holder sums up the Barack Obama legacy in three words..”responsible for nothing”….

The voters of the United States have awarded the highest honor to a man based on nothing more than his skin color. We placed our future in the hands of a man who has shown nothing but callous and blatant disregard for the national well being of the United States. A country made up of individuals easily swayed by the musings and whims of an elitist element that purports to be looking out for our interests..that’s what we’ve become. It’s sad and demeaning to a nation built on promise and effort. Unfortunately those two attributes have all but disappeared under Barack Obama….

A Picture is worth a Thousand Words!

THEIR world…..

"Oh look...immigration "reform""!

“Oh look…immigration “reform””!

"Look!...Gay marriage!"

“Look!…Gay marriage!”

"Look!..climate change!"

“Look!..climate change!”

"Look!..law abiding Americans have guns!"

“Look!..law abiding Americans have guns!”

YOUR world…a.k.a. THE REAL WORLD!

"We're the idiots that talked Marco Rubio into this sh*tty sham of an immigration bill!"

“We’re the idiots that talked Marco Rubio into this sh*tty sham of an immigration bill!”

I could go on…but, I think you get the point….

The federal government has a long tradition of ignoring the REAL problems Americans face in their day to day lives. And though I applaud yesterday’s Supreme Court decisions, they will have little, if any impact, on the lives of most. Gay or straight.

We have a nation struggling with debt, unemployment, rising costs in nearly every sector, along with countless other valid, significant problems. And as long as President Obama and the Democrats can distract you with gay marriage, immigration, women’s reproduction, etc., etc., etc….you name it…then these troubles can be ignored. But the time will come when all of this comes tumbling down and we will be left to pick up the pieces…if we can.

Think about it!…

King of Denial

As controversy continues to engulf the Obama administration, it amazes me how the President continues to rely on his strategy of denial. The finger of blame is his weapon of choice. With Benghazi, the IRS, and the AP phone scandal erupting practically all at once, I thought it would be enlightening to look back at some past events in which Mr. Obama shrugged off criticism and responsibility…

Today: Obama Denies “Felony” Smear Of Romney

Pat Dollard, August 20, 2012

I think you get the point being made here. Barack Obama has proven himself to be a disgraceful President. His arrogance and condescension are directed daily toward the American people. His defensive posturing is obviously covering up an inept, corrupt, and abusive administration. He has surrounded himself with obviously like minded individuals who are proving to be disastrous for this nation. If he possessed a shred of courage and dignity, he would resign his office. A President without the trust of the People is a failure. And the time has come for this President to face that fact.

Is ANYONE ‘present’ out there?…ANYONE?…..

A question we should be asking everyday. I know I do!.

One of my favorite ‘teachers’, Ben Stein, has a take on the present state of affairs in our nation…He offers some thoughts on Hillary Clinton, ‘Bush 43’, and the current occupier of the White House….

DREAM SEQUENCES from The American Spectator

And Bush 43 looked great. Not so Mrs. Clinton.

“Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley….where does that come from? Some famous movie. Rebecca? I think that’s it. Rebecca.

Anyway, last night I dreamed I was in Miami Beach, helping Tom and Kitty move out of a small house in South Beach. My father was still alive and he was helping, too. There were immense tropical insects, just monstrous crickets who breathed fog onto the windows where they landed. Now that I think of it, maybe I was in Palm Desert, California.

We had our dog, Susie, deceased, but alive in the dream, and she ran away. I chased after her and came to an immense department store, a bit like the Istanbul Grand Bazaar in Skyfall and a tiny bit like the Jelleff’s Department Store on Colesville Road next to the Silver Theater, where my sister Rachel used to shop in the 1950s.

There were woman fortunetellers and snake charmers and a whole host of glamorous looking people, sort of like the Beverly Hills Hotel when Phil DeMuth and I go there for brunch. It was wildly technicolored and gorgeous and lush with immense palm trees inside like the courtyard of the Pan-American Union long ago. Now it’s called the OAS.

I caught up with Susie and brought her out to our car, a pale blue 1955 Chevrolet 210 four-door sedan, which had been my family car through much of my youth.

(Finally, I persuaded my father to buy V-8 Fords, Chevies, and a Dodge — that was pure kindness on his thrifty part. He was a kind man.)

Then Phil DeMuth appeared to tell me I was not going broke after all, despite my fears and worries, and that I need not live in fear of poverty. He had charts and graphs to back up his claims.

As I talked to him, I noticed that Tom Cruise had pulled up next to him in a pickup truck. He talked to me in a friendly way, thanking me for the kindness I had shown him by writing so well about him in his role in Tropic Thunder. He told me he had been a fan for a long time. I was happy and walked with him as he walked into the huge store… maybe it was the Saks in Palm Desert… and then I told him I would stop following him and he walked away.

When I got back to our car, I saw that now Dustin Hoffman had pulled up next to our poor old Chevy, and he was in a pickup truck, too. He smiled and waved at me, and I felt happy.

I went back into our son’s former home and realized my father had left his sport jacket there. But my father was gone and that was when I woke up.

I cannot tell you how excited that dream made me. It was mostly the immense, gaudy store that did it. Also somehow, somewhere in the back of my mind was the thought that my father was there to help me.

Also, it was exciting to be friends with movie stars.

But I knew it was not real and so, back to sleep. When I awakened, to my shock there was Bush 43 speaking at the dedication of his library at SMU. He looked great, sounded great, deeply unpretentious, just a fine figure of a man. I felt deeply sad that he’s not in the White House any longer, although he made some horrible mistakes that he should have seen coming: mostly ignoring Afghanistan while he pursued a futile course in a sideshow in Iraq. Far worse that a mistake… a blunder. Who said that? Talleyrand? He also should not have allowed Lehman to fail. That had catastrophe all over it.

Still, it happened and it’s history now. Eventually, he bailed out Wall Street and saved the economy. So kudos for that. And mainly, he’s just a super likeable guy.

Mrs. Hillary Clinton looks decidedly unwell. I wonder how her health is. I hope she is all right. She needs a long rest, dry out her weary brain.

How brave Bush 41 is. Just looking at him is deeply moving. Hero in so many ways.

As to Jimmy Carter… well, he’s gotten the face he deserves.

The weather here in D.C. is perfect today. Alex and I sat out on our deck and watched the clouds go by and the planes land at DCA.

Relaxing. Almost too good to be true.

I came inside and watched the news. Chemical weapons in Syria. But the rebels are worse than Assad. He’s a killer and a butcher, but not totally out of control like the fanatical Islamists. What a nightmare Arab Spring has become. IT WAS SO AMAZINGLY EASY TO SEE IT COMING. Who did we think would replace Mubarak? Mohammed Thomas Jefferson and Ahmed James Madison? And the media was praising the rebels as if they were John Adams and Tom Paine. THE REBELS SAID THEY WANTED TO KILL ISRAEL AND AMERICA! What did we think they would be like in office?

Now, it’s all turned to mud and it’s going to get a lot worse.

And there is poor Obama. He drew a “red line” for Iran. They evacuated their bowels on him. He warned North Korea and laughed. He was going to “reset” relations with Russia. They are in a total mess. Honor the Russians’ incredible courage, but they are not our pals.

Have we ever had a more pusillanimous foreign policy? Have we ever shown ourselves to be weaker?

When in history did weakness win the day? What kind of dream world does Mr. Obama live in?

I heard Senator McCain on the C-Span network say that we could no longer defend the nation. This is serious business. Is Mr. Obama listening? And what a cruel blow that Sen. McCain lost in 2008. What a different country this would be if he had won. Does Mr. Obama even bother to listen to his generals and admirals? Or is his goal to end America?

“Nothing matters now but Obama’s subconscious,” said Phil DeMuth in 2008. What is the subconscious of a man abandoned by both father and mother? Actually, maybe that was a good thing given who they were. And this country has turned itself inside out for Mr. Obama for his whole life. Maybe he likes America. But should we have a President about whom we say “maybe”?”

"I either don't have a clue...or I don't care...you decide!"

“I either don’t have a clue…or I don’t care…you decide!”

THIS should frighten the CRAP out of you!….

As if President Obama’s potential re-election isn’t reason enough, on its own!….

"So...you're saying..Comrade President, you will be able to turn over ALL of your weapons after your re-election?..."

Seems our esteemed President is telling other leaders his re-election is a forgone conclusion….

This man MUST be defeated!….
