Here we go again!..

As election time nears, and just like clockwork, the Democrats have found and eager accomplice in the Republican candidate. Whether it’s apologizing for something that didn’t happen or explaining a stance on a non existent issue, the GOP falls for the bait every single time.

This year is different only in the sense that Donald Trump’s combative attitude plays right in to Hillary’s scheme. The Clinton campaign has shifted the debate away from immigration, debt, unemployment, and national security to Donald Trump’s taxes and Miss Universe. Of course, the media enhances the message with the premise that these sorts of matters are of vital concern to the American people. And you wonder why we are where we are in this country!

Which is it?…..

Do you ever find it interesting that we have a president who has managed to convey this bewildering sense of “reality”…for lack of a better word…to a distracted, detached populace?…

OBAMA CLUELESS

Unknown

He can go from feigning ignorance on an issue to flat out lying to the American public on another. It doesn’t matter what the scenario. There’s never any push back. Never any outrage. Never any challenge. He’s managed to convince an ill informed, occupied with the day-to-day, electorate that’s just the way things are. No accountability. No redress. We simply move on to the next contentious point of order!

It’s sad that we’ve devolved to this. We take for granted the life we have in this nation. That it will always go on. It will always be as we know it. If you’re the least bit concerned, you know this not to be the case. We’re a society drowning in debt.. a culture diluted by unchecked immigration..and a nation witnessing unspeakable violence practically daily.

Yet…here is Barack Obama. Given carte blanche to seize a substantial portion of the economy (i.e. Obamacare)…negotiate the security of the United States WITHOUT the approval of Congress…and manipulate whatever government issued statistic he pleases in order to present this utopia to a foolish and blind America. WITH the media’s eager assistance, mind you!

Of course, it goes without saying, if we had a Republican in office encountering the same, he would have been impeached years ago. He wouldn’t have the racial guilt of our society to protect him. He wouldn’t have a slavish media to present his presidency to voters who willingly fall for the imperialistic demeanor.

We face another year and a half of the Obama term. There’s no telling what we will encounter down the road. I shudder to think!

Freaky Friday!

Welcome to the end of a rather tumultuous week! Each day brings with it new surprises…and most of them NOT good! It’s a wonder we manage as best we can!…

Let’s take a look at what’s going on, shall we?!

Can you smell that? It is the smell of panic in the air. As I have noted before, when financial markets catch up to economic reality they tend to do so very rapidly. ...Over the past several years they have been grossly twisted and distorted by the Federal Reserve and by the other major central banks around the globe. Did the central bankers really believe that there wouldn't be a great price to pay for messing with the markets? The behavior that we have been watching this week is the kind of behavior that one would expect at the beginning of a financial panic. .."

"I think the Republican House was put on this earth to save us from huge pieces of comprehensive legislation like this that I think are not well designed, would not work well. If we want to solve particular parts of the immigration problem, we can solve them. We can have more high-tech workers, if you want. We could have more guest workers for agriculture, if that's necessary. We could legalize the people who are here. This 1,000-page bill, which is now probably 1,100 page bill--and much more expensive bill--because of this amendment, is not a good idea.." - William Kristol @ The Weekly Standard

“They’re taking food out of the mouths of babies,” …”Two million families would lose their food under the bill, much less under the Southerland amendment.”

This is just the tip of the iceberg!

We have financial markets collapsing after they’ve been propped up by the Fed for so long. Never mind that this created a false sense of security!

We have a federal government essentially able to monitor nearly every move you make and every word you say and type!

We have moronic Senators, Lindsey Graham (R-SC) among them, practically breathless to craft a piece of crap immigration “reform” bill! Never mind the feds have REFUSED to enforce existing law on nearly EVERY aspect of immigration and securing the border. It doesn’t take a genius to see what the result of this disastrous bill will do!

We have embarrassments like Chicago teacher’s union prez, Karen Lewis, whose failed leadership is in dire need of scapegoats. She simply has to play the race card. THAT will garner support from the fools that don’t have a CLUE on solving the dire problems of public education!

We have the continuing, insipid, stupidity of Congressional Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, who resort to literal lunacy when it comes to spending. Never mind that there are a RECORD NUMBER OF AMERICANS ON FOOD STAMPS! HER PARTY’S SOLUTION: SPEND MORE!

It’s all of this sort of garbage that has placed this nation in the mire it now finds itself. Self serving so called “leaders” are the enemy we all must face. They have “led” us down a road to a situation from which we may never recover. Until more of us wake up, this stuff will continue!

What the hell happened?…

Sad, isn’t it. That’s the first thought I have from time to time, when perusing the news. The End of the American Dream blog has an excellent piece today entitled: 25 Signs That America is a Seething Cesspool of Filth and Corruption. You might think that’s a bit harsh. Then again it’s pretty much on target. Just look around you.

What was once a beacon of opportunity and success to the world continues to spiral to new depths of despair. Mediocrity and excuses are celebrated rather than achievement. Entitlement for nothing more than mere existence takes precedent over diligence and effort. Personal expression is considered valid in itself regardless of any real value and contribution to society. Our exceedingly worthless pop culture continues down the road where excess, foolish behavior, and downright stupidity are held up as qualities to admire and strive for.

In addition to all of the above, we have a government in the United States that has a reach beyond what we could fathom just a few years ago. Those that make government their life’s work berate and belittle even the slightest suggestion of common sense when it comes to reigning in a rate of spending that can be likened to a locomotive careening down a hill with no way of stopping it. Should you dare to apply any sort of braking mechanism, well, you are chastised and ridiculed in a media which has shifted it’s efforts from monitor to cheerleader for a worthless and snide President and his party.

As our American society continues to devolve, more and more turn a blind eye to the very real possibilities that lie ahead. Fewer and fewer are actually working to support themselves, a family, and a lifestyle. Yet we have a notion out of Barack Obama’s Washington that it is better to punish those that do…publicly scold them…and reward those that do not. Because he, and so many others like him, know THIS is the justification for their OWN existence. As long as they can continue to pander to the millions that lack the ability to think and do for themselves, the threat to their power is diminished.

We all deal with struggles of varying degrees every day. Personal, business, social…It can be frustrating and discouraging. Unfortunately, resolution and moving on in life is becoming less of a possibility as our culture encourages the message that YOU are not responsible. It’s always someone or something else that’s the hindrance..the problem. Mr. Obama’s administration sets this example and this tone day after day after day. You see it in nearly each and every policy he has pursued since taking office. And now, he’s asking for four more years. It frightens me beyond explanation that there are those more than willing to give him that. I cannot even begin to understand that mindset. Sure, you can say, “look at the alternative”….Nevertheless, that is NO excuse. Gov. Romney certainly offers more of a chance to turn things around than Barack Obama. I believe he is deserving of that chance.

This nation made a choice four years ago. Sadly, that choice was based on more emotion than common sense. We rewarded a relatively unknown individual the title of arguably “the most powerful man in the world”. He has failed us. Failed us miserably. He selfishly took our good will..our hopes…and our future and eagerly and with relish, squandered them. And to this day, he revels in his position…his arrogance…and his power.

If we are to save this republic…its hopes..its future..Barack Obama must be defeated. Gov. Romney, beyond whatever faults he may have, can certainly understand the frustration of so many Americans and their collective concern for this nation. Should we, as voters, fail in our opportunity to redirect this society, what lies ahead will be as unforgiving to the likes we’ve never seen. Give it some serious thought. Are we not worth that effort?….

Wednesday wackos!…..and ‘Critic’s Corner’

NEVER, EVER A SHORTAGE OF THESE IDIOTS!…..

"They have attached a poison pill — literally, colleagues — because it will kill 8,100 more people more than would have otherwise been killed from pollution,”.. “They attach that to the payroll tax cut,”.... "So we have that for a Christmas gift."

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), not exactly known for rational thought, on the GOP house bill recently passed….You people in California deserve EVERY idiot you send to Washington!

“Since January, more than a dozen states have advanced new voting measures. Some of these new laws are currently under review by the Justice Department, based on our obligations under the Voting Rights Act,”... “Although I cannot go into detail about the ongoing review of these and other state law changes, I can assure you that it will be thorough — and fair. We will examine the facts and we will apply the law.”

Attorney General Eric Holder telling several states they can’t DARE ask voters for ID when casting ballots! God forbid!!!

Seems the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board will allow the signatures of Mickey Mouse and Adolf Hitler to count in the attempt to recall Governor Scott Walker. Gee! Wonder what the political make up of this esteemed group is…hmm….Read more here: WIS OFFICIALS WILL ACCEPT MICKEY MOUSE, HITLER SIGNATURES ON RECALL DOCUMENTS

There’s absolutely NOTHING these people will not try!

‘CRITIC’S CORNER WEDNESDAY: ‘X FACTOR’, ‘NUTCRACKER’, ‘CSI’

'X Factor's' Simon Cowell

* What would TV talent shows be without a voting controversy?

The latest show to run the “how could they” gauntlet is Fox’s under-performing The X Factor (Fox, tonight, 8 ET/PT), which could use any attention-getting gimmick it can find. (Which makes you wonder … but never mind.)

This fuss involves judge Nicole Scherzinger‘s decision to purposely deadlock the panel last week, passing the decision on to the voters — who decided to vote out Rachel Crow.

The 'Factor's' Nicole Scherzinger

Considering Scherzinger is being paid to judge, it would be nice if she did so.

Still, the show’s rules allow her to abdicate, which means while doing so might be unwise, it isn’t unfair.

If viewers wanted Crow to stay, they should have voted for her.

That’s how democracy works, even on TV.

* Want your kids to see talent of a different grade and kind? Sit them down at PBS for Live From Lincoln Center‘s broadcast of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker (8 ET/PT, times may vary).

CSI's Hall

* Here’s good news for fans of Robert David Hall’s Dr. Robbins.

His role expands on CSI (CBS, 10 ET/PT) when his wife discovers a naked dead man. In their bedroom.
